WBC Christmas Party

Martin & Karen were wonderful hosts and had a great place for our party! Many thanks to them!
Ninteen WBC members were given club awards this year. They are listed below:
KEEPING UP WITH THE KIDS – Wayne Hill – For being able to do 2-3 day road trips in Arizona with his sons at the age of 75!
TOUGH COOKIE AWARD – Joy Billeaud – Due to her competitive nature she hasn’t met a trail she hasn’t crashed on…or a road for that matter! Despite it all she loves riding and keeps coming back for more. Joy’s motto: If you’re not crashing, you’re not riding hard enough.
NON-PRESIDENT OF THE YEAR – Rickey Taylor – For meritorious service above and beyond the call of non-duty!
STUMPMEISTER AWARD – Scott Prugh – For taking on a number of big dead stumps with his bare hands during trail building at Colorado Bend State Park… and winning!
MOUNTAIN BIKE EVANGELIST – Chris McClung, Scott Prugh – For getting hooked on mountain biking and then spreading the ‘good word’ at work and getting many others from his job hooked as well!
CAPTURED BY THE ‘DARK SIDE’ – Allison Prugh – For going from not liking to ride her bike at all to deciding that it was quite a wonderful thing after riding with pro racers Shonny Vanlandingham and Kim Jennings!
MOST IMPROVED MOUNTAIN BIKER – Justice Stone – For totally getting hooked on mountain biking and aggressively improving his mountain biking skills by leaps and bounds in just a few of months!
BUMPER AWARD – Jacob Mathis – When you are not going fast enough, Jacob will give you a gentle nudge in the rear with his bike.
HUGGIE AWARD – Emily & Joshua Mathis – When you need a hug, she/he is there to give you one.
HAPPY TO MOUNTAIN BIKE AWARD – Anna Mathis – She’s never on a mountain bike without a big smile on her face!
CHIEF COOK & BOTTLE WASHER AWARD – Dawn Hill – Always there to organize whatever needs it.
ROGUE TRAIL BUILDER – Martin Kemper – Midway Park’s one-man trail building crew.
MOST IMPROVED ROAD RIDER – Jodi Thurman – We can’t keep up with her any more!
BUSH WHACKING AWARD – Alvis Hill – He’s the only one we know that can bush whack in the dark!
CHUCK WAGON AWARD – Rusty Hansgen – For providing wonderful pancake breakfasts for the Colorado Bend State Park trail building crews!
TEEN TRAIL BUILDER OF THE YEAR – Emily Prugh – For putting in more hours of trail building at Colorado Bend State Park in than any other teenager
VOLUNTEER MEDIC OF THE YEAR AWARD – Bob Tarbet – For volunteering to be the medic at all of the Waco biking events: Outback Blowout, Waco Wild West Century, Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic!
Club memberships go from January through December. Don’t forget to get your dues in and get the whole year in!
