July Breakfast Ride
posted July 18, 2010
On July 17, 2010, over a dozen WBC members gathered around a very long table at The Coffee Shop in McGregor for breakfast and a visit. Guess which rider doesn’t do mornings!

Those who ate breakfast would have made a nice number for the Breakfast Ride, but even more showed up after breakfast to do only the ride! What a great group!

And they’re off…!

Someone needs to talk to the photographer about getting closer-up pictures!

The group stopped in Oglesby in the shade to rest a minute, visit, and wait for the last of the group to catch up.

And more riding…

It’s not often that you get to herd goats on a bicycle, but we got to do exactly that (totally by accident) on Mother Neff Park Road!

There is still a wooden bridge along that route, but it’s not problem to ride.

The group stopped in Mother Neff State Park to rest a minute, visit, and wait for the end of the group to catch up.

Then it was off again to finish the ride up and get on with other Saturday plans. Most had ridden around 26 miles. Those who didn’t want to ride that far did an out-and-back and turned around when they felt like it was time. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the time together and look forward to next time!
